Saltwater has been designed in line with universal access principles to ensure an inclusive and welcoming experience for all visitors.

Arriving at Saltwater

  • A designated drop-off zone is located on Queen Street, close to the main entrance.
  • Pathways from nearby parking areas are well maintained and suitable for wheelchairs, prams, and mobility scooters.
  • The main entrance features automatic doors for easy access.

 

Wheelchair Access & Mobility

  • The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, with wide entryways and lift access to all levels, including the control room and backstage areas.
  • Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available.
  • The Box Office counter is fully accessible.
  • Guests can advise of any accessibility requirements when booking tickets online or at the Box Office.
  • The Saltwater Theatre accommodates up to 16 wheelchair spaces, which can be booked in advance, with companion seating located alongside.
  • Seating areas are accessible via a combination of ramps and minimal steps.
  • Mobility scooters are welcome throughout the building.
  • Bathrooms are fitted with emergency duress systems.
  • Floors are flat and even, ensuring easy navigation.
  • Handrails are installed throughout the venue.
