ART Convention Coming to Busselton!

Busselton to Host National Tourism Convention in 2026

The City of Busselton is proud to announce that it will host the prestigious Australian Regional Tourism (ART) Convention in October 2026, welcoming approximately 300 tourism industry delegates from across the country.

The event will take place at Saltwater Busselton – the City’s new convention and performing arts centre, located in the heart of the CBD.

City of Busselton Mayor Phill Cronin said Busselton is the ideal destination for a national event of this scale, and this is an amazing opportunity to showcase our incredible new Convention Centre facilities on the Busselton foreshore.

“It will provide a significant economic boost during the shoulder tourism season and will showcase our region to key tourism industry leaders.”

“With a thriving tourism sector, direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne, and ongoing infrastructure development, Busselton continues to strengthen its reputation as Western Australia’s premier tourism destination.”

Known as the Events Capital of Western Australia, the City of Busselton actively attracts and supports a diverse range of events throughout the year. This strategic approach helps to smooth out seasonal fluctuations in visitation and positions the region as a year-round destination.

Recent improvements in accessibility, including reduced travel time from Perth and direct interstate flights have further increased Busselton’s appeal to both leisure and corporate travellers.

“The addition of Saltwater Busselton has further enhanced the region’s appeal for corporate and business events, drawing high-yield visitors during traditionally quieter periods,” Mr Cronin said.
