Celebrating Six Months of Saltwater

Six months of unforgettable events, inspiring exhibitions and meaningful connections

Since opening in May, more than 30,000 people have visited Saltwater to experience an exciting and diverse program of events, art exhibitions, performances and community gatherings.

In just six months, the venue has welcomed major events including CinefestOZ, Cabin Fever, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, Noir, Margaret River Region Open Studios, and two touring art exhibitions, alongside exhibitions from previous City of Busselton Art Award winners. From live performances and cultural experiences to conferences and community events, Saltwater has quickly become a vibrant hub for locals and visitors alike.

It’s been incredibly rewarding to see Saltwater attract events from across Western Australia, around the country and internationally, helping showcase the Busselton region to new audiences and creating opportunities for people to connect, celebrate and be inspired.

We are grateful to our partners, event organisers and visitors whose support has helped bring such a diverse range of experiences to the venue.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue building a dynamic calendar of events, exhibitions and performances that celebrate creativity, culture and connection, while welcoming even more visitors to discover everything Saltwater has to offer.
