Saltwater’s Opening Events!

Saltwater to open with a whale of a splash!

Saltwater will open with a spectacular street party including the call of the Whale. The multiple award-winning Spare Parts Puppet Theatre has created a giant 15-metre whale puppet that can be manipulated by local kids.

Puppeted by the community, the Whale makes its journey to Saltwater, calling everyone to experience their new cultural hub.

There will be tours of the venue throughout the day and this will lead into a performance by local musicians and performers from all genres followed by a concert by the iconic Yothu Yindi.

The following weekend will see Saltwater’s inaugural theatre production, produced locally and directed by theatre legend, Kelton Pell. Busstop will bring to light the stories of local heroes with warmth and humour.

For our school audiences, we will bring the award-winning book Imagine to life through digital puppetry, live music and interactive play. This acclaimed production has toured across the nation and we can’t wait to present it to the kids of Busselton.

In our first year, we will welcome a diverse array of entertainment including the WA Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

We will announcement many more shows soon, so follow us on social and subscribe to our e-newsletter to be among the first to hear about upcoming shows and events.
